Day Two Blog Question

Why is the US Constitution considered a "living document"? What makes out Constitution enduring?

14 comments:

  1. The US Constitution is considered a "living document" because it is what changed our country into what it is today. It gave the government more power. Our Constitution is enduring because for 200 years so far it has guided the evolution of governmental institutions, it provided the basis for political stability, individual freedom, economic growth, and social progress.

  2. The fact that the Constituition is what made America what it is and has kept things the way they are for so long is what makes it enduring. It is considered by some as a "living document" because it can be changed.

  4. It is considered a living document, because of how flexible it is. It's the reason our country is today. The way the government works, and every other system we use today. But it also the reason some things in our government are messed up, because they follow the constitution.

  5. The Constitution is considered a living document because it changed the entire country of America to the country we all know and love today. The government became more powerful and the constitution is around today is because it still supports our country's freedom, economic stabilaty, and economic growth.

  6. I think the Constitution is considered a living document because it changed so much in American History, and mostly everything that that got changed in the Constitution is still active today, which makes it a living document.

  7. The US Constitution is considered a 'living document' because it can be continually edited and updated. It can be re-interpreted and updated by judges. And because it is a living document, it will endure because it can always be interpreted to fit the needs of society.

  11. The constitution is enduring because it has been followed for about 200 years now. It is still considered a "living document" because it is still modified today by our courts and our country still follows by it today.
